In short. Share with colleagues and teams in your organisation. Talk about a chart in its comment thread, and resolve the thread when you're done. Dashboards never leave your organisation.
A dashboard does the most good when the people who act on it can see it. Here's how to put one in front of your team.
Share with colleagues
- Open the dashboard and choose Share.
- Search for a person or a team in your organisation, by name or email.
- Add them, then close the dialog.
They can now open the dashboard from their own list. To point them straight at it, choose Copy link for members: it copies the dashboard's address, which opens only for people who have been given access.
What someone can change once they're in depends on their role in your organisation, which an organisation admin sets.
A dashboard you haven't shared stays private to you, even from colleagues in the same organisation.
Sharing stays inside your organisation
You can share a dashboard only with people who have an account in your organisation. There are no public links, so a dashboard can't be forwarded to someone outside it.
Need to show someone outside? Export the dashboard to PDF or PowerPoint and send the file. See Exporting.
Talk about a chart where it lives
Every widget has a comment thread. Ask a question about a spike, reply to a colleague, and resolve the thread once it's answered, so the open questions are the only ones left showing.

Once a dashboard is shared, set an alert on the metric that matters, so nobody has to keep checking it. See Setting up alerts.
